Pianist Kelly Hammond, from upstate South Carolina, has played with both instrumental and vocal partners throughout the southeast United States. At University of North Carolina School of the Arts, she has played for the Undergraduate Opera Scenes program, Cantata Singers, Wind Ensemble and Orchestra, including the 2015 Nutcracker performances on celesta. Kelly is an aspiring collaborative performer, director and teacher. Her career began in her hometown of Greenwood, South Carolina, with her work as musical director and accompanist for the community theater and local churches and has continued to expand after her move to North Carolina. In addition to graduate recitals at UNCSA, recent performances also include a collaborative recital at her alma mater. Kelly received her Bachelor of Science in Music from Lander University, where she studied with Dr. Anthony Lenti. She recently earned her Master of Music and Professional Artist Certificate in Collaborative Piano from UNCSA studying with Dr. Allison Gagnon.
